It is 10 pm on March 29th and an hour ago the time
ran out on Burdastyle’s apron remake challenge… and
out of the 50 finalists I had the most votes by 55. I
won. I am amazed. I saw the link to the challenge
info about a month before, and had a little flutter in
my stomach… maybe I can win that. Maybe… and I
did. Wow. The grand prize is a Bernina Activa 210
sewing machine and $300 cash. I currently sew on a
Janome which was a recent upgrade from a Brother,
so a Bernina is a big upgrade. I am very much
looking forward to that. Even better 45 minutes after
I won I sold another apron on my website. One of
my votes must have liked my apron enough to check
out my website and purchase a different style. How
could my day get any better? I have added a link to
purchase your own custom made version of the
winning apron. The actual winning apron is double
sided, reversible- but I am offering two options, single
side in the color of your choice or double sided in
both colors. Thanks to all of you out there who voted
for me- I guess dreams do come true!
